I know what it's like to be a local business and trying to stand out. My journey started in 2010 with a little blog. After a few years of spinning my wheels trying to keep up with what everyone else was doing and trying to get people's attention - I knew I needed to do something different.

I looked two places where I could fill a gap that was missing - my industry and my city.

I realized no one in my city (Baton Rouge, LA) was blogging about or focusing on our local community. So I became the "local go-to girl."

For over a decade, I shared the best things to do around town, featured local businesses, spotlighted inspiring female entrepreneurs, covered local shopping, restaurants, and events.

But I didn't just create content. I sold physical and digital products, hosted large scale events and built a really engaged audience.

My most popular event - The Baton Rouge Boutique Blowout Sale - regularly brought in over 1000 attendees with sold out tickets and a waitlist of vendors to participate. I loved creating experiences that locals get excited to put on real pants and leave the house!

I also founded a local women's networking group, which grew to over 1000 women. It's through these experiences that I learned how to create content, build an audience and sell effectively to a local market.

As my own business grew, other business owners started asking for my help. They wanted to know how I was getting people so engaged and excited about what I was doing. That led to me taking on social media clients - and before I knew it I had a fully booked business working with businesses across South Louisiana from Lafayette, to Baton Rouge to New Orleans. I even had a small team to help me manage everything. I supported business owners with social media, content, email marketing, websites, paid aids, events, video marketing -- everything they needed to market themselves locally.

Then, Covid hit and the demand for online marketing help skyrocketed overnight. I knew I couldn't get to everyone on my waitlist, so that's when I created The Localpreneur Academy. I could put everything I knew about standing out locally, reaching people in your city, growing your local audience, creating content and selling in one place and provide weekly coaching to help you master it.

BUT something was missing.

I was giving my clients the exact strategies they needed but many weren't taking the action required. They knew WHAT to do, but fear, imposter syndrome, insecurity or the discomfort of doing something new held them back.

I had worked with a life coach for years, so I had seen first hand how powerful this work was. So in 2021, I became a certified life coach through The Life Coach School. Now I don't just give my clients the strategy, I also give them the tools to follow through and take consistent action to get the results.

Today, I've helped hundreds of business owners grow. I've helped them bring in more clients, increase their visibility, grow their social media followings and email lists, sell out local events, win those "best of" awards, hit new income milestones they never thought possible, get featured in local media and even scale beyond local.
